Super Explorers Camp
The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department will hold its Super Explorers Summer Day Camp for Senior Explorers (ages 9-12) July 15-19. Water Warriors
Water Warriors, offered by the Kokomo Family YMCA, is the ultimate swim skills camp. Hone your skills in this two-week swim camp from July 15-26 focused on technique, mastering different strokes, and taking your swim game to another level. Kokomo Community Cats (KCC) will host its second annual golf tournament fundraiser on Sun., Aug. 27 at Chippendale Golf Course, 1047 Golf Course Lane. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration deadline is July 31. Cost is $240 per foursome, which includes a cart, lunch, and goodie bags. The event will help KCC provide sterilization services to stray and feral cats in Kokomo and Howard County, limiting the population of stray animals in the community. Rhumfest
Rhumfest, a day of live music highlighting the talented students and instructors from the Rhum Academy of Music, will take place on Sat., July 27, from 2-8 p.m. in Foster Park at the Performing Arts Pavilion. Free admission. To learn more, visit www.rhummusic.com.
Brews on Buckeye
Enjoy Indiana craft beer and spirits, food vendors, live music and more at the annual Brews on Buckeye, taking place in the 500 block of North Buckeye Street in downtown Kokomo. Shark Camp
Go Wild Outside with the Kokomo Howard County Public Library on Mon., July 29, from 10-11 a.m. Taking place at the library’s Russiaville branch, 305 Mesa Dr., each camp combines outdoor play, exploration, and hands-on activities, ensuring children have ample opportunities to develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. This event is designed for children ages 0-5.
Glamour for Good Fashion Show
Northview Church will hold a Glamour for Good Fashion Show to benefit the Kokomo Rescue Mission on Fri., Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. at Northview’s Kokomo campus, 3409 S, CR 200 W. Tickets go on sale Aug. 1 and will be available for $30 at the Kokomo Rescue Mission’s Care and Share Store. Online pre-sale tickets will be $40, and tickets jump to $50 on the day of the event.
