― Yun'Shul to the unworthy

This is a page about a shrine dedicated to Yun’Shul. For the Drowned God, see Yun’Shul. The Shrine of Yun'Shul, Keeper of Hearts is a shrine found in the Temple of Hearts, locked behind a Resonance Door within the First Layer of The Depths, dedicated to the Drowned God Yun’shul.

Description[]

The Shrine of Yun’Shul is a unique interactable shrine found in Scyphozia. It can grant players that wield a Resonance wishes.

The shrine at the Temple of Hearts also acts as the penultimate step of obtaining the Contractor Oath; choosing the "What happened to this place?" dialogue option will enable the dialogue with The Lord Regent offering to join him, giving you the Oath.

It's possible to interact with the shrine using Idol of Yun'Shul Relic. This will allow for one wish to be made and consume the item after usage. The item doesn't require a Resonance and will consume your wish if you have it- to get the most mileage out of it, you should be unable to obtain a wish from the shrine itself by the time you use it.

Wishes[]

The player can interact with Yun'Shul's shrine to obtain a wish. Making a wish requires some criteria:

  • You need to have a Resonance. You would have needed this to get past the Resonance Door. If you attempt to speak to Yun'Shul without a Resonance and you are not a Deepbound (such as glitching in or being carried in by another player), you will be instantly killed and wipe.
  • You need to not have the Tarnished flaw. This is obtained from rerolling your Resonance with Yun'Shul, so this won't apply on the first Wish.
    • If you do have Tarnished, you can remove it at Yamaketzal for 1000 notes, or by seeking clarity at Misérables for 15 Knowledge.
  • Have a wish available (sometime referred to as Yun'Shul wish CD).
    • A wish can be obtained by levelling up 3 times or by seeking clarity at Misérables for 15 Knowledge. Wishes do NOT stack, so if you get your Resonance at Power 18 or higher you will be unable to get another wish (without the use of Misérables or the Idol of Yun'Shul.)
    • Wishes are also occasionally reset on patch updates.

If you meet all the criteria, you are able to make one of six wishes:

  1. "The trials ahead of me fill me with trepidation, I wish to escape this place."
    • Instantly sends the player back to The Overworld.
  2. "My Flaws weigh me down too much, I wish for relief."
    • Randomly rerolls one of your flaws. Has a small chance of replacing it with the Vacant flaw. Can be used to get rid of the Tarnished flaw.
      • You can only make this wish once. You can still, however, use Shrines.
      • Essentially useless, due to the Shrine of Blasphemy which does the exact same thing with less risks (you can't be given the Vacant flaw), and for only 5 knowledge.
  3. "The Vows I made give me much regret, I wish to break."
    • Erase all your active vow of masteries, whether they be as a servant or as a master.
  4. "The powers I have been granted displease me, I wish for new gifts."
    • Erases your current Resonance, and draws 4 new Resonance cards (or 5, if you have a corrupted resonance, the 5th card being the corrupted resonance and the 4th one being the uncorrupted variant) (the 4th card will always be the same resonance you had, albeit rerolled; the variant may also be changed, such as when rerolling physical Sacred Field you will get the mantra version.) Gives your Resonance the Tarnished flaw.
  5. "The Vows I made to keep an Oath no longer suit my ideals. I wish for a new path."
    • Removes your current Oath. Gives a disclaimer prior to breaking it, warning you that becoming an Oathbreaker has its own consequences. Upon breaking an Oath, you will receive a dialogue from your Oath-giver along with other potential consequences.
  6. "I wish for my Soul's Murmur to be highly strung no longer."
    • Your current Murmur will be removed without any further notice or opportunity for confirmation. This action can be done multiple times but will cost you your murmur and a wish. You can still regain the same Murmur afterwards.
    • If you wipe after your Murmur is removed, you won't receive the Echoes for having it, and you'll have to get a Murmur again.

Trivia[]

  • Originally, only Oathless could be removed, and it had differing dialogue: "The Vow I made to never take up an Oath no longer matches my ambitions. I wish for a new path."
  • You are combat tagged immediately upon speaking to Yun'Shul’s shrine without a Resonance, making it impossible to survive.
  • Yun'Shul is one of three confirmed Drowned Gods so far, along with Korilfiend, the Drowned God of Fire, and Ethiron, the Drowned God of Sky and Pressure.
  • Talking to Yun'Shul without any wishes does not kill you as long as you have a bell.
  • There is an Enchantment named after Yun'Shul.
  • The objects in the shrine’s temple are Deep Shrines.
